barbering as career in my 40s
-
looking into barbering as a career. im in my early 40s an previously jumped from job to jobs (retail, construction, valet, cashier, … you name it i done it) all mainly low end low skilled jobs . previously went to college in 2001 to 2005 for IT and business management. i never found work related to it. i dont have much of mechanical aptitude or can fix anything.
im picking barbering as i dont do well in academics, dont like studying, dont like physical work so good bye to trades, barbering school isnt that long and i cut my own. i have add and learing disability. people with add i heard do well in creative fields
im. thinking of taking the community college hair design program for 10 months instead of private barbering class that is 6 months 600 hours and also more money too. the hair design program has part they teach mens hair too. what you guys think. i have no interest in womens hair though
any thoughts of being a barber?
